An Overview of Medical Poetic Asset in Urdu

Abstract

Poetry has been a way of expression since ancient time. Our poets have made the Contemporary trends of their era and the problems of their time the subject of their Poetry. There were some poets who made purely medical subject the subject of their Poetry. These books are related to the knowledge of art and medicine ,diagnosis of Various diseases ,treatment with various herbs ,use of medicine and preparation of Medicine .In these books ,the details related to treatment and medicine are written in An organized form. It is a very difficult task to describe a purely artistic subject in a Poem ,but the poets wrote these books by using their poetic skills .This poem is a Great achievement of these poets .It cannot be forgotten.
