Protest against oppression in Qateel Shifai's poems
Keywords
Qateel Shifai is basically a human lover; his poetry harbours the intense feelings of high human values. He is against all kinds of Social differences, Self-Centeredness, Oppression and injustice in the society. That's why; the themes of his poems are centered around the oppressed people. Since he himself faced exploitation that's why he chants voice in favor of the victimized people. He very well understands the tactics used to oppress the people in the motherland. He is against capitalism, feudalism, and rotten system running in the country. He is not amongst those so-called intellectuals who shut their eyes on and remain silent over the oppression. He used his pen against the cruel system. No oppressor had the courage to buy his pen. He wrote beyond any reservations. In this Exploiting society, everything is for sale though it is prohibited by law. His poetry unveils the bitter realities of society.
