Abstract

The universe, with all its mysteries and complexities has always kept the man perplexed and astonished ever since he came into being. The mysteries which got resolved were termed as physical and natural laws. But despite an evolutionary journey spanning over millions of years, there are still innumerable phenomena in the universe that remain beyond any logical explanation. They are classified as metaphysics. How could any sensible and sensitive creator remain alien and unattracted to such supernatural elements? Ashfaq Ahmad and Bano Qudsia had an obsession for mysticism and they presented supernatural characters strongly and fittingly in his metaphysical Urdu short stories.
