In view of the views of various experts and linguists regarding the birth of Urdu, Dr. Maher Abdul Haq has made Multan the centre of civilization of the Indus Valley and has described the Multani language as the result of the combination of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Balochi languages. Most of the values of Urdu and Multani are common because they grew up in almost the same environment and were influenced by the same factors. They have several layers of linguistic and lexical similarities that date back to the pre-Aryan period. Dr. Maher Abdul Haq has discussed in detail about the Multani language and its relationship with Urdu. According to which he has stated that Urdu and Multani language are similar according to the linguistic scale, Urdu is very close to Multani language in its syntax. In both the nouns and verbs end with an alif, both languages share a common plural form. Apart from this, the background of Multani language, principles and rules, vocabulary of both languages, rules, compound functions, literature and poetry have been highlighted.
