Abstract

The field of linguistics in Urdu is not very old, so the number of linguistics experts is also countable on fingers, and Professor Khalil Siddiqui's name is prominent among them. He started writing on this difficult subject in the sixth and seventh decades of the 20th century, when there was a scarcity of material on linguistics in Urdu. He not only explained linguistics in an easy-to-understand way but also played a significant role in its understanding and promotion. His valuable work spans over three decades, including five published books and numerous articles. This article specifically discusses his specialized contributions to the field of Urdu linguistics.
