Abstract

Bio Politics is in fact political relation between the administration or regulation of life and political laws are introduced to sustain the life but beneath the power layer different critics such as Michel Foucault, Homi Bhabha, Edward Said and Spivak are famous to show the actual face of political power and its negative consequences. The term “Bio Politics” was first used by Rudolf Kjellen in 1905 in his book “The Great powers” Foucault terms refers to the intersection between power (political, economic, judicial etc.) and the individual’s bodily autonomy. Bio Politics is a broad term which entered to post-colonial studies. According to post-colonial theorists, present within the colonial setting are various mechanisms of power Infact the consolidate the political authority of the colonizer, in other words we can say that Bio political is thus the means by which a colonizing force utilizes political power to regular and control the body autonomy of the colonized subject. All these are shown in the work of Michel Foucault (the history of Sexuality), Edward said (orientalism), Homi Bhabha and Spivak (can the subaltern speak).
