Abstract
In the study under review, an attempt has been made to make a comparative assessment of the art of Mir Anas and Mirza Dabir, two well-respected schools of Urdu elegies. The main axis of this research is the component 'arrival' included in the legacy of Hazrat Abbas, through which an attempt has been made to examine how the two teachers have created the impressive atmosphere of Mamdouh's arrival through their specific style, similes, metaphors, and artistic accessories. In this study, instead of making a final decision, a scholarly attempt has been made to understand the individual writing and stylistic diversity of these two poets in the light of linguistic and artistic evidence, so that it can be clear which artistic nuances have been used by both teachers in describing this particular scene of the battlefield.
