Abstract

The multi-faceted post-colonial studies that have given a new perspective to the colonial and post-colonial literature of India have led to a long series of new interpretations and analysis of art. These include finding out the truth, tracing colonial tactics which were devised for the justification of the establishment of British rule in India. Being a victim of contemporary subjectivity, it was not possible for the artist of this era to consciously analyse cultural and intellectual changes, although his subconscious is an awarded of these changes and expressed them in his own way. The post-colonial interpretation of a few passages from Khawaja Altaf Hussain Hali's voluminous poetic collections will trace the perception of the intellectual and social changes of this era.
