Abstract

The techniques of flash back in Urdu Literature are the most successful description is its physical quality as it takes the audience back to the past world. It is a technique that brings back the episodes or events that have already occurred. Yaqoob Nizami success fully exploited the flash back technique in his travelogues. In his travelogues, Yaqoob Nizami, along with his personal observations and experiences, has also presented ancient societies, civilizations, arts, architecture, politics, education, poetry, and traditions in the context of the present. Yaqoob Nizami uses the flashback technique in such a way that many events that happen in a person's life become imprinted in his mind in such a way that a similar event occurs again in his life and then he the events of the past appear in the unconscious in the form of writing or speech due to the mutual similarity of the events of the present. Yaqoob Nizami has made the past observations and experiences coupled with the events and observations of the present as a means of bringing the past observations and experiences to the fore. Animations look crisp and clear. He has relived these observations and experiences through the flashback technique.
