Abstract

With the advent of Pakistan, Urdu literary journalism evolved and started in Sindh. The migrated renowned literary personalities played a prominent role with these literary magazines and indeed remained central to the establishment of the new Pakistani society. A large number of literary magazines were published in Sindh.  In this paper, an attempt has been made to review such Urdu literary magazines published in Sindh, which were the spokespersons of various literary ideologies, movements, and institutions and played an important role in the promotion of Urdu language and literature.
