Abstract

Ahmadpur East was royal residencia of Bahawalpur State. As the Nawabs of State were non-shia so mourning literature could not be brought into the realm of writing. Because the creation of mourning literature could have caused the anger of the rulers. So mourning literature was created but it was limited to the memory of the people. When the Abbasid rulers established this state, there was no place for Husseini Bahman in this area. Many such families migrated from here and even if a few families were present, they would perform their religious rituals in secret. In terms of action and reaction, when the rulers are weak, the rise of mourning literature is seen. With the rise and fall of the state, the rise and fall of mourning literature is seen. The rulers have an indirect influence on poets and literature. Hayat Meerthi, Nafees Fateh Puri, Maulvi Ghous Mohammad, Qazi Ghulam Hassan Mahui and Syed Akhtar Munir are named in the history of Bahawalpur Lamentation literature. This article covers this tradition.
