Postmodernism coming forth in the 20th century, is such a visionary movement and situation which is affecting all the world in one way or another. Postmodernism in its essence is the set of theories; the rival to authority and the ideology, having decentralization project that rejects all kind of fixations and meta-narratives. If we see in respect of age, the 19th century's Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib pertains no relation with postmodernism, but it has been tried to understand Ghalib's mind composition, his style and visionary paradigm, he seems quite close to postmodernism. In this research paper which is basically consists of Mr. Rashid Saeedi's M. Phil thesis (2016) findings. It has been attempted to reveal Ghalib's contemporary vision, skepticism, anti-postcolonial ideology, anti-metanarrative, and deconstructive thinking that proves Ghalib a postmodern poet.
